The fire that engulfed the apartment of an 80-year-old man in Pogradec yesterday evening is suspected to have started from the chimney of the elderly man's apartment.
After the flames were extinguished, the 80-year-old's apartment was completely burned, while an adjacent apartment, in which 4 members lived, also suffered major damage.
There were no injuries from the fire as the residents managed to evacuate in time. While the flames caused numerous material damages.
One of the residents said that in the family where the fire broke out, a woman lived alone with two small children inside.
"I said there was no fire in my house. I saw the fire and came quickly. Those who caught fire are worried. With two children inside, two small children, the husband is gone. There are three families here," said the resident of the area.
