By order of SPAK, the chief prosecutor of Vlora, Aurel Zarka, was arrested. Two lawyers, Radovan Çela and Astrit Vladi, have also been imprisoned.
But prosecutor Aurel Zarka is also under investigation for the Gjikoka case. Prosecutor Zarka has influenced the prosecutor of the Vlora Prosecutor's Office and the criminal case of the accused Helidon Gjikoka.
Helidon Gjikoka is accused and on trial together with 16 other citizens, employees of ASHK Tirana and Vlora for the theft by fraud of a complex in Dhërmi.
In many cases, the prosecution has been in the role of the defense lawyer and not in the role of the prosecution, becoming a party to the crime.
The prosecution has given up the charge, but the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court have ordered the trial of the parties with the same charges brought before. But with the influence of Prosecutor Aurel Zarka, the prosecutor of the case has given up for the second time a number of charges which the Supreme Court had ordered to be tried.
So the prosecutor's office of Vlora gave up in violation of the decision of the Supreme Court and this was done with the influence of the prosecutor of Vlora Aurel Zarka who is under investigation for this case.
Prosecutor Zarka is in the investigation together with a group of lawyers from the Vlora Bar Association and a former judge of the same court, and they are currently performing the role of a real estate lawyer. For this corrupt affair, SPAK is expected to appoint a second measure of arrest.
Zarka's arrest
Zarka was escorted by the Vlora police during the night and transferred to Tirana. Together with Zarka and Dautaj, lawyer Radovan Cela and businessman Astrit Vladi were arrested.
Vladi was previously suspected of murdering the citizen Paulin Marku in 2011 at the Kamza turn in Tirana. After he was arrested by the Police as a suspect for the murder of Mark, he was released by order of the Prosecutor's Office, which described the arrest as illegal.
Radovan Çela has served as the legal representative of cousins Alfred and Elvis Vladi, arrested in 2018 after the seizure of 3.4 million euros in the port of Durrës, as part of the so-called 'Toyota Yaris' file
The prosecution accused the two cousins Elvis Vladi and Alfred Vladi of creating an organization with the aim of laundering money of criminal origin. But the Vladi cousins were never arrested by the police.
Astrit Vladi, businessman and shareholder of several companies in Albania, is the brother of Elvis Vladi. According to the civil registry of 1998, he may have previously held the name Doxh Vladi.
The case gained public importance in Albania, after the head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, denounced the arrival of the money a few days before it was seized in Durrës. Basha warned of the trafficking of money with "Toyota Yaris" cars and accused the head of the socialist group, Taulant Balla, of vouching for what he called "drug money".
Balla denied the accusations and won a defamation lawsuit against Basha in court.
Basha's denunciation gave the file the name "Toyota Yaris", although the second-hand cars belonged to the "Toyota Auris" brand.
