Why does Rama postpone the law on strategic investments for another two years?
Bablok seems to have decided to declare strategic investors all those who make the government cool. The elections are approaching and now the only goal of the majority is to secure as many votes as possible. And after the bonus for retirees and the forgiveness of fines, the next initiative has come: the extension of the terms of the law on strategic investments. A controversial law that has caused more damage to the country than it has helped in absorbing investments.
The law was supposed to end its effects at the end of December, but a draft by the socialist deputy Pranvera Resulaj has suddenly gone to the Parliament, where it is intended to extend the effects until the end of 2026. The law has also undergone some changes, with the aim of justified and prolonging the effects.
With this change , it is intended: to add new definitions regarding the types of decision-making of the Strategic Investments Committee (KIS), to change the destination of the income from status applications by moving in favor of the agency's budget, the notion of following the projects approved according to the action plan of the projects approved according to the decisions of KIS, the provision of making the seashore available is changed, which will be approved by Decision of KIS after putting the tourist structures into operation, the deadline for submission of requests from interested investment subjects for inclusion in the procedures for benefiting from the status "Investment/strategic investor, assisted/directed procedure" is extended, pursuant to law no. 55 /20 15, "On strategic investments in the Republic of Albania", until December 31, 2026, as well as adjustments are made in the transitional provision , "he emphasizes Ms. Member of Parliament in relation.
