The police arrested Dorian Beu, 46 years old, on the Tomorri mountain, who was wanted by SPAK as part of a criminal organization that trafficked drugs to Italy. He had a security measure of “arrest in prison” imposed by the GJKKO and was on the list of 21 people investigated in the international trafficking file. The joint investigation between SPAK and the Bergamo Prosecutor’s Office documented the transport of 120 kilograms of cocaine, 15 kilograms of heroin, 129 kilograms of marijuana and 92 kilograms of hashish, seized in several operations in Italy.
The group, led by Gernard Beu, Emirjan Beu and Braniol Liço, had continuous activity in Durrës and in cities such as Milan, Turin, Bergamo and Brescia. In Albania and Italy, assets worth over one million euros have been seized, including apartments, commercial units and fishing boats.
Dorian Beu is not only part of this network. He is also a partner of Gjergj Luca in the company "Organizata e Mëndegitim i Portit të Peshkimit Durrës - OMPD Shpk", registered with the NRC in June 2020. In addition to Beu and Luca, this company also includes Syrjan Tola and Qemal Beu, names involved in the same investigations for drug trafficking and smuggling.
This proven partnership with Dorian Beu and Syrjan Tola is not a random business mistake. Gjergj Luca has been part of the drug trade himself, mentioned for years in secret police reports and in investigative files as an associate of Pëllumb Gjoka, Roland Ziu, Jani Morava, Artur Gjini, Arjan Andoni and Agron Metvelaj.
The Durrës Fishing Port has long been used as an entry and exit point for illegal cargo. Through the “Fishing Port Management Organization”, Luca has created a legal cover over a sector that was used for trafficking, introducing people like Beu and Tola, who are now at the center of SPAK’s investigations, into the partnership.
If Dorian Beu and Syrjan Tola were caught as part of a structured group transporting drugs to Italy, the fact that Gjergj Luca is their partner proves that he is not only “close” to the traffickers, but part of the same world. He has entered into the same agreements, shared the same interests, and used the same mechanisms to launder and protect the profits from trafficking. /Pamphlet
