This, in fact, is a terrible phenomenon, where throughout the basic national hospital structure in the country, the oligarchy of chiefs, who are mostly above retirement age, is turning their power into a monarchy, inherited from family members or relatives...
The case of the SPAK Prosecution's investigation and court case against cardiac surgeon Edvin Prifti is not at all isolated and does not represent only a personal issue.
It is a long period, more than 33 years, since an oligarchy of "bosses" was installed in the health system, with the core at QSUT, who turned into a real mafia that took money unwillingly from patients.
The doctor pursued by SPAK, namely Edvin Prifti, was neither the first nor the last who has been rumored to have received money from people who were treated at the country's main university center.
But the Priest became famous when he turned into a king of cardiac surgery and for several years became the head of the most powerful and nerve-wracking chair of hospital medical clinics.
There was even a big clash between the Priest and the leaders of QSUT, when this center was headed by the current Minister of Education Ogerta Manastirliu. Which, prompted by the letters coming from the public about bribes from many doctors, has signaled the investigator in question. But the answer of the accused person was arrogant. Where it is learned that he did not deny receiving the money, he even said that he receives even more, and this comes as a result of his professional ability.
This is actually a terrible phenomenon, where throughout the basic national hospital structure in the country, the oligarchy of chiefs who are mostly over retirement age, is turning their power into a monarchy, bequeathing it to their family members. or relatives.
But, nevertheless, the state records about the behavior of the Priest are terrible, as they speak of arrogant performance, where even though he took money from the patients, he did not care for them. The patients were more customers, desperate customers, dissatisfied with the service of the bosses.
The reports about the Priest's behavior are so serious that SPAK has been forced to make an example of the doctor, who will likely strip him of his right to practice. After there were reports from many patients who were not followed by the doctor who performed the operation, who even gave them sedatives in an amount that is considered inadmissible. So, the investigation is expected to deepen even further, while other patients have not been followed even though they were in a serious post-operative condition.
There is a clear protocol regarding the conduct of personnel in this case, a protocol that should be law, but has not been implemented.
However, this investigation of SPAK cannot continue in isolation without a deep reform in QSUT where the monopoly of the oligarchs is broken and new doctors are appointed, who have been kept away all these years./ Pamphlet
