Fisherman Gjergj Luca, a client and sycophant of Prime Minister Edi Rama, has, in addition to Facebook, attacked former minister Arben Ahmetaj on Grida Duma's television show and on MCN television.
In his public attacks, Gjergj Luca has mentioned two cases of official confrontation with former minister Arben Ahmetaj, admitting that the reason was the seeking of favors and intolerance of fiscal fraud by the company "Rozafa Sh.pk" worth 1.8 billion lek.
First case:
For the facilities and land of the State Reserves, the Ministry had assessed 1.4 billion lek, a legal obligation that Gjergj Luca's company "Rozafa Sh.pk" had to pay to the state treasury.
For this obligation, he said that Arben Ahmetaj had unfairly imposed it on him, but he had refused to pay it, because the facilities of the State Reserves had been given to him free of charge by Prime Minister Edi Rama for business and employment.
He stated that he went to the office of the successor Minister of Finance, Anila Denaj, where he found two inspectors of public assets, who asked him to pay the obligation of 1.4 billion lek; but, as he stated, Gjergj Luca found "understanding" with Minister Denaj and the obligation was erased as a friend of the Prime Minister.
Second case:
On December 22, 2025, on “MCN TV”, Gjergj Luca said:
“When Arben Ahmetaj was Minister of Finance, the tax authorities went to my business for an inspection and would not leave without imposing a fine, because I did not use tax invoices and demanded the state's obligations. I called Minister Ahmetaj and said: 'The tax authorities have gone to my business and want to fine me. Did you give the order, or Edi Rama?'; while he told me: 'I do not put anything before the law, it must be implemented.'”
The financial obligation that Gjergj Luca had hidden from the state, through the non-use of tax invoices, was 400 million lekë, which, by exploiting his connections with Prime Minister Edi Rama, he evaded taxes.
These two cases prove that Arben Ahmetaj has enforced the law, while the fisherman trafficker Gjergj Luca is attacking him because he asked him to enforce the law, not to defraud the state, and to pay his tax obligations.
