Prime Minister Edi Rama's connection with drug trafficker Gjergj Luca and the donation of nearly 2 billion Euros of state property is the most typical case that constitutes the object and subject of the order of the US Attorney General, Pam Bondi, for Albania's anti-crime institutions.
This order was announced by the Deputy Director of the US Department of Justice, Stephen Fields, during meetings in Tirana on May 19-23, 2025, with the Minister of Interior, Ervin Hoxha, the Director of Police, Ilir Proda, and the Director of SPAK, Altin Dumani, to crack down on organized crime, drug cartels operating in Albania and to freeze their economic assets.
Will the US Attorney General's order to investigate the businesses of trafficker Gjergj Luca, and discover their economic-financial sources and state support, be implemented?
Why have the police for 12 years and SPAK for 5 and a half years not filtered the economic activity of business-trafficker Gjergj Luca, when they have reports from DEA, EUROPOL and other partner agencies, about the creation and management of a structured international drug trafficking group?
The American justice system has detailed information, including about the Gjergj Luca case and his close economic-financial ties with Prime Minister Edi Rama, ties that are the only obstacle to his not being affected by the Albanian police and justice system.
For example, it is crazy to even think that Prime Minister Edi Rama held several government meetings at Gjergj Luca's "City Fish Rozafa" resort in Elbasan, and Luca even attended the meetings and posed with the prime minister and ministers.
He is the closest person to Edi Rama, who publicly defends him more than ministers, deputies and leaders of the Socialist Party, manifesting himself during the campaign for the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025.
This support pleases Babloku, because it suits him as propaganda and encourages him to do it almost daily, using state institutions and media close to the government.
As is the case of Alfred Peza, former SP MP and former Director of RTSH, who created the space for the drug trafficker Gjergj Luca for a show on "Podcast", where Luca made propaganda for Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Meanwhile, he has rewarded Gjergj Luca with 2 billion Euros of state assets given away for free in Tirana, Elbasan, Durrës, Saranda, Vlorë, Shëngjin, Gramsh, Prrenjas, Librazhd and Maliq, where he has created fish processing businesses, restaurants, hotels and casinos.
The state-crime connections, or more precisely, Prime Minister Edi Rama's connections with crime figures and groups have no "horns", and not only with Gjergj Luca, but the police and justice pretend not to see these connections and evidence.
So despicable, in fact, that they forced the US Attorney General, Pam Bondi, to order the Minister of Interior, Ervin Hoxha, the Director of Police, Ilir Proda, and the Director of SPAK, Altin Dumani, to begin cracking down on organized crime, the drug cartels operating in Albania, and blocking their economic resources./ Pamphlet
