The Israeli military announced that it had struck a space complex in Tehran, which it said was being used to develop military satellite programs.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the attack was carried out based on intelligence data, as the facility posed a threat to Israeli satellites and the space assets of other countries.
According to the IDF, the complex was used to develop space attack capabilities and was linked to various military programs.
"The complex was used to develop military space programs, including the development of the Chamran-1 satellite, which was built by the Iranian Ministry of Defense's electronic industries and launched into space in September 2024 by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps ," the Israeli military statement said.
According to the same source, the strike on this facility comes after another attack carried out last week on a space research complex belonging to the Iranian Space Organization in Tehran.
