Elon Musk attributed the serious problems that appeared today, Monday, worldwide, to the 'X' network to a massive and coordinated cyber attack.
In a recent post, Musk said that the "massive cyberattack is still ongoing."
He adds that "they attack us every day, but this is done with a lot of resources. A large coordinated group and/or a country is involved."
And he ends by writing that "we are looking for...".
Users around the world reported on Monday that access is difficult or even impossible from both the app and the website.
Some users saw error messages from Cloudflare, a content delivery network and cybersecurity service provider.
According to the specialized website Downdetector, around 10,700 users were unable to access the platform at around 6:15 p.m. However, this number was previously higher, reaching up to 40,000 users.
At the moment there is no official announcement from the network about the nature of the problems.
Meanwhile, the hacker group "Dark Storm Team" has reportedly claimed responsibility for a DDoS attack on the platform, according to a public post on Telegram.
A "DDoS" attack is an attack to disrupt the normal traffic of a targeted server, service, or network by overwhelming the target or its surrounding infrastructure with a large flood of traffic, causing the servers to go offline.
