With a shocking video created by artificial intelligence, where drones, robots and animals transformed into weapons are shown attacking Taiwan, the Chinese military has sent another aggressive signal ahead of its major military exercises that have surrounded the island of 23 million people.
The video was released on December 29 by the Eastern Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, with the propaganda title: "Joint Operations to Prevent Taiwan Independence." The footage shows eagles transforming into drones, sharks into submarines, and bees turning into deadly mini-drones, building a futuristic yet realistic scenario for Beijing's new capabilities.
Meanwhile, the Chinese military has launched a massive exercise codenamed "Mission Justice 2025," using large forces, fighter jets, naval fleets and heavy artillery. The maneuvers include simulated naval blockades and possible attacks on Taiwanese ports and cities.

Taiwan's military has responded with defensive preparations, deploying American HIMARS systems, with a strike range of up to 300 km, capable of targeting targets in China's Fujian province. Naval forces have also been deployed and are closely monitoring any Chinese movements in the South China Sea.
According to Reuters sources, more than a dozen Chinese aircraft and ships have entered Taiwan's maritime border area, dramatically increasing tensions. Taiwanese officials warn that these actions are approaching the scenario of direct military aggression, while Japan has hinted that an attack on Taiwan could provoke military intervention from Tokyo.
The exercises come just days after the US decided to sell $11.1 billion worth of weapons to Taiwan - the largest arms package ever for the island, which is at the center of a geopolitical clash between the West and China.
