A teacher was injured at a vocational school in Essen, Germany, after being attacked with a knife by a student. The student was arrested by police, who also used firearms during the operation to neutralize the aggressor.
As reported by the German Press Agency (dpa), security sources have stated that the weapon used was a knife and that the perpetrator was a student at the school.
According to this information, no other people at the school were attacked.
According to a security forces spokesman, the injured teacher is middle-aged. He suffered stab wounds and was taken to the emergency room of the university hospital. His life is not in danger.
Police are now reporting that the injured teacher “suffered stab wounds.” According to media reports, the stab wound was a stab wound to the stomach.
According to German media, the perpetrator is an Albanian student from Kosovo.
"We have a large number of officers at the scene," the police announced in X. As reported by Radio Essen, among other things, a helicopter also circled the area.
The vocational college is located in an educational park, with other educational institutions such as Bfz-Essen and the Institute for Studies in Municipal Administration in the immediate vicinity.
