Suella Braverman

British Home Secretary Suella Braverman was sacked by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Monday, days after she criticized a pro-Palestinian march.

The British Home Secretary accused blue-collar operatives of failing to respond appropriately to aggressive right-wing protesters while completely ignoring pro-Palestinian crowds throughout their protests.

Recall that the five opposition parties publicly called for her dismissal from office on Thursday after Downing Street said that the Times article, in which Braverman claimed that unnamed police officers were guilty of "double standards".

Suella Braverman is a very well-known name in Albania because of the tough stance she has taken with illegal Albanian immigrants who have gone to Great Britain.

About a year ago, Suella Braverman said that the country faces an "invasion" from immigrants who cross the channel in rafts and as members of criminal groups.

"Albania is not a war-torn country, and it is very difficult to argue that asylum requests are legitimate," Braverman said. It was precisely these comments of the interior minister at that time that would make her one of the most antipathetic personalities for Albanians.

Although this statement was only the beginning. In her statements, Suella Braverman said that Albanians lied about why they left the country and labeled many of them as people with criminal records.

The prime minister, Edi Rama, also responded to this statement, who considered her statements as "shouting into madness". The head of government had stated at the time that it was Britain's responsibility to cooperate to manage the situation with illegal Albanian immigrants arriving in the United Kingdom by dinghies.

These are the comments of Rama, who later brought a joint agreement between the two governments, which would allow the landing of Albanians who went to Great Britain through the English Channel.

But Suella has faced a range of criticism, from migrants who she said pass off as gay to get asylum to the fact that some of them are part of gangs that rape English women.

1. The homeless chose this kind of lifestyle.

Days before she compared pro-Palestinian protests to scenes in Northern Ireland during the riots, she sparked outrage by claiming that those sleeping on the streets were only doing so because it was their lifestyle.

She even posted her message on the X social network.

2. Asylum seekers are being passed off as homosexuals in order to receive asylum

In September, Braverman again issued another statement fueling criticism. She said that immigrants to Britain are being passed off as gay in most cases to get asylum in order to stay in the country.

3.She accused British-Pakistani men of being part of gangs

In April, Braverman said in an interview with Sky News that groups of men, almost all British-Pakistani, are part of gangs that "stalk, drug, rape and harm vulnerable English girls".

4. Immigrants have "conquered" us

Another notable controversy erupted when Braverman called the arrival of asylum seekers in small boats from across the English Channel an "invasion of the south coast".

She was criticized for the way she addressed immigrants, stressing that such a statement puts many people at risk.

5. Braverman called sending immigrants to Rwanda a "dream".

In October last year, she spoke of her "dream" to see a planeload of asylum seekers heading to Rwanda before Christmas.
