The 7 Strangest Crimes Ever Committed

According to real cases that happened, some prisoners just want to go to jail for their own strange reasons. Some knowingly and some not, these are some of the strangest crimes in the world.

"Prison Break"

A man known as James M. DeVore had severe mental problems after the death of his mother. He used alcohol and drugs to cope with his problems but felt he needed help. So he went to the police station as he wanted to be locked up to give up his addictions.

After the police did not accept him, he thought that the only solution was to "break the prison", that is, to enter with difficulty. He was arrested for trespassing and taken to a treatment center and he never saw a jail cell.

Grandma jumps out the window

One of the first things we are taught is not to hit grandma. An 11-year-old boy threw her out of a window when she refused to buy him a toy he wanted from the store. She managed to get away before the kid delivered a second blow.

Prison by wife

The quietest bank robbery in history was carried out by Anthony Miller. As he went quietly with the police, people were wondering why he was so quiet. It turns out Anthony was in an abusive relationship and just wanted to go to jail to be free of his wife.

A quick nod

It must be strange to wake up to find your house mostly empty except for the burglar sleeping on the couch. He was Domonique Pinkard. When they - obviously - caught up with him right after and asked why he was sleeping, his answer was "I worked hard all day".

Banana attack

Phillip Smolinsky, a Florida man, was charged with domestic violence after attacking his girlfriend with a banana. She claimed he threw a banana at her, while Phillip claimed she threw the banana at him. The only evidence the police could find was a banana on the ground.

Monkey's blood

Mark Loescher was convinced he was half orangutan (a type of monkey) and was charged with aggravated assault after he was found outside a bank on the phone asking for monkey blood.

The spider is taken hostage

A Kansas native named Bryan Smith was asked to take care of a pet spider, and when the original owner asked for the spider, Bryan decided to demand $100 in exchange for the eight-legged "monster's" life.
