Serious air accident in Ukraine, the Russian plane crashes near the border; 65 victims are reported

A Russian military plane has crashed near the border with Ukraine. So far, 65 victims have been reported, but the exact number has not yet been verified.

Dramatic footage shows the crash near Belgorod causing a massive fire. The cause of the crash and explosion remain unknown.

" Currently, an investigative team and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working in the country ," said the governor of Belgorod Vyacheslav Gladkov.

The crash occurred near the village of Krivoy Khutor in the Korochansky district, about 57 miles from the border with Ukraine and 40 miles northeast of Belgorod.

The Ria Novosti news agency said the people on board included captured members of Ukraine's armed forces. The governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said he was aware of an "incident" but gave no further details.
