The founder of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, died as a result of an air accident near Moscow.
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, is being blamed for his death, but Serbian media linked to the power of Aleksandar Vučić say that the US may have had a hand in Prigozhin's murder.
Some Serbian media say that Prigozhin was killed by the Americans.
The American analyst, Ivana Stradner, declared through a post on Twitter that Vucic's propaganda is fueling the Russian narrative that Prigozhin was killed by the US.
"Vucic's propaganda is now pushing Russian narratives that the US killed Prigozhin," Stradner wrote on Twitter.
She added that the US government is praising Vucic for moving towards the West.
"The US government has praised Serbian President Vucic for moving toward the West and applauded the media in Serbia for pro-Western narratives," Stradner tweeted.
