Businessman Aco Djukanovic, brother of former President and Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, has been remanded in custody due to reasonable suspicion that he has committed the criminal offense of illegal possession and storage of weapons and explosives, the Basic State Prosecution Office (ODT) in Niksic announced today.
The statement said he was detained due to the risk of flight.
"Upon the proposal of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, A.GJ. was ordered to be detained due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of illegal possession and keeping of weapons and explosives. The detention was ordered due to the risk of escape. There is reasonable suspicion that A.GJ. was keeping illegal weapons and ammunition in his home in Nikšić," the statement said.
