The ceasefire is not enough to meet humanitarian needs in Gaza, UN: Aid trucks,

The increased aid flowing into Gaza these days remains a "drop in the ocean" of humanitarian needs on the ground, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East said on Sunday.

" We need 200 aid trucks per day continuously for two months at least to meet the needs. We need more fuel so we can operate the services and sectors we support, such as water desalination, wastewater, hospitals, bakeries and UNRWA services and communications. The aid that is coming in at the moment is just a drop in the ocean of humanitarian needs ," said UNRWA's media adviser, Adnan Abu Hasna.

Desperately needed aid has been allowed into Gaza as part of a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas that came into force on Friday.

" The (humanitarian) situation in northern Gaza is dangerous, there is no drinking water and there is no food, so the aid we are sending is important. Today we are also sending convoys to Gaza City and northern Gaza. The humanitarian situation is dangerous in both southern and northern Gaza ," added the UNRWA representative.
