Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has given a statement on the conflict in the Middle East.
He said he promised a month ago to "change the balance of power in northern Israel" and has been doing so ever since.
" A month ago, as we almost finished defeating Hamas in Gaza, we fulfilled our promise to the people of the north and killed Nasrallah and all Hezbollah commanders ," he says.
" We managed to destroy the rocket system that was developed by Hamas over the years. Now our soldiers are also demolishing the tunnels that have been developed by Hezbollah. Although we have not finished removing these threats, we have clearly changed the course of the war and the balance of the war ," Netanyahu said.
He also said that Israel "is prepared to defend itself", as he signaled that there will be a counter-response to Iran.
" Including the threat coming from Iran, because Iran is behind all these attacks on us. From Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen and Syria and Iran itself. Iran has already launched hundreds of missiles at Israel in a ballistic missile attack, which was a of the largest such attacks in history. No other country in the world would accept such an attack on its citizens, and neither would Israel ," he said.
