
Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari has admitted that the Israeli army mistakenly killed 3 citizens from Israel who were hostages of Hamas.
Hagari said during an interview that the soldiers failed to distinguish who the 3 hostages were, thinking that they were exponents of Hamas, and as a result they shot at them, killing them.
Among others, Hagar released the identities of the hostages, saying they were Yotam Haim, a 28-year-old musician who was kidnapped by Hamas in Kfar Aza, and Samer Talalka, 22, who belonged to the Bedouin community living in Nir Am.
While the identity of the third hostage was not made public, according to the request of his family members.
