While Iran is said to have now responded to US peace overtures, the conflict previously erupted over drones captured by Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
As a result, Air France has canceled more flights to Riyadh, Dubai, Tel Aviv and Beirut due to security concerns and airspace closures. The airline had already suspended flights, but this has now been extended.
Flights will be suspended until the following dates:
-To and from Riyadh until May 12
-To and from Dubai until May 20
-To and from Tel Aviv and Beirut until May 20
Air France said affected customers are being contacted. The resumption of flights will remain subject to an assessment of the local situation, which the airline warned is "very evolving."
Like other airlines, Air France said it would add additional flights to Asian destinations to meet strong demand, as some travelers avoid Middle Eastern hubs.
