Chaos in Iran

After more than 200 hours of total internet shutdown in Iran, ongoing protests against the Islamic regime are clashing violently with state repression. Multiple independent sources report that the prison in the city of Ilam is overflowing with arrested protesters, most of whom are young men and women who have participated in the anti-regime movements.

Courts have become places of emotional chaos, where relatives of detainees wait for hours, without access to information or legal protection. According to reports, lawyers are not allowed to defend their clients, in flagrant violation of every fundamental human rights norm.

Against the backdrop of this alarming situation, the regime has launched a new technological offensive against the only hope for free information: the Starlink satellite network. Several specialized security vehicles have been seen in urban areas actively searching for Starlink devices, after the American company SpaceX reportedly waived monthly fees for users in Iran who have access to the router.

This development has raised alarm among Iranian authorities, who feel threatened by the possibility of information about the brutal repression leaking beyond their borders.
