In an unusual public move, the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) released a message in Persian (Farsi), directly addressing the citizens of Iran.
The message was quickly distributed on platforms such as X and Telegram and contains an open call for cooperation with Iranians who oppose the authorities in the country.
" Hello. The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) hears your voice and wants to help you. Below you will find the necessary instructions on how to establish secure virtual contact with us ," the announcement says, among other things.
The CIA did not provide further public details on the reasons for releasing the message, but its content indicates efforts to establish direct communication channels with individuals inside Iran.
