The former president says he has no knowledge of the Epstein files and has been completely cleared of the charges.
Donald Trump said he "doesn't like" seeing former President Bill Clinton face questions from the House Oversight Committee regarding his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaking to reporters before boarding Marine One, Trump said: " I don't like seeing him," and added that the investigations against him have been more intense.
"Of course they followed me for much more than that," he said.
Trump also stated that he "knows nothing about the Epstein files" and stressed that he has been "completely cleared of the charges."
Earlier in the day, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee said they had set “a new precedent” for the conduct of presidents and former presidents testifying before Congress. This stance represents their political assessment of the process.
Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing in connection with Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sex offenses and later died in custody. The current president has acknowledged that he was friends with Epstein in the past, but has said he ended the relationship before the financier faced sexual abuse charges.
