German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will travel to the White House on Tuesday (March 3) to meet with Donald Trump.
This is the second meeting between the two leaders since the beginning of Merz's term at the "headship" of the German federal government.
According to deputy government spokesman Sebastian Hille, the topics that will be at the center of discussions on Tuesday morning in the Oval Office will be bilateral relations, security issues, as well as "trade and competition issues."
Merz will leave for the US on Monday. The chancellor himself had announced the trip for next week, but details such as the exact date of the meeting had not yet been officially announced.
