Photo emerges, Nobel Prize winner appears at Epstein's house with three
James Watson

New photos have been uncovered from documents related to Jeffrey Epstein showing American scientist James Watson in the financier's New York residence.

Watson, co-discoverer of the structure of DNA and Nobel Prize winner, is seen in the company of three young women.

The images, published by The Telegraph, show Watson smiling in a living room inside Epstein's home. There is no exact date on when the photos were taken, but they appear to be from the mid- to late 2010s, after Epstein was released from prison on a child sex offense.

One of the photos shows Watson with one of the women and a paper of his on cancer and antioxidants.

Watson, together with Francis HC Crick, identified the double-helix structure of DNA, a discovery that was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1962. DNA contains genetic information and forms the basis of chromosomes.

In later years, his statements linking race to intelligence sparked strong reactions in the scientific community. In 2019, the relevant institutions stripped him of his honorary titles.

The documents show that Epstein held similar views to Watson. In a 2016 email to Noam Chomsky, he wrote: “The test score gap among African Americans is well documented.”

In the same communication he added: "James Watson had some of his private views made public and was therefore excluded from society. He told me that after a single sentence he became an unpleasant person. Improving things may require accepting some unpleasant facts."

According to the report, there is no “suggestion of wrongdoing” by Watson at Epstein’s residence. The published materials show the financier’s efforts to build connections with prominent figures in science, business and politics.

Correspondence included in the documents shows that Epstein exchanged dozens of emails with associates about Watson. Some of them discussed arranging meetings, breakfasts and dinners with the scientist. In one case, Epstein asked friends to prepare questions about genetics before a meeting with him.

The documents also show that Epstein purchased Watson's 2002 autobiography, Genes, Girls, and Gamow: After the Double Helix, in 2014.

An email sent to Epstein by Watson's assistant in February 2007 contained this notice: "Dr. Jim Watson sent you some documents via FedEx. I have placed them on your dining room table."

The materials shed light on the contacts between the two figures, without presenting evidence of wrongdoing on the part of the scientist.
