The House of Representatives gives the 'OK' to the release of Epstein

427 votes in favor and 1 against...

The House of Representatives has voted in favor of a bill that would order the US Department of Justice to release all files it has related to Jeffrey Epstein. It is learned that in today's process there were 427 votes in favor of approving the bill, and one representative voted against. The one who voted against was Republican Clay Higgins, who immediately posted on social media to explain why he did not support the bill.

From the beginning, I have said a principled “NO” to this bill. What was wrong with the bill three months ago is still wrong today. It abandons 250 years of criminal justice procedure in America. As written, this bill exposes and harms thousands of innocent people, witnesses, people who have provided alibis, family members, etc. If passed in its current form, this kind of broad disclosure of criminal investigative files, released to a rabid media, will absolutely result in the harm of innocent people. No with my vote.

"The Oversight Committee is conducting a full investigation that has already released over 60,000 pages of documents from the Epstein case. This effort will continue in a manner that provides all appropriate protections for innocent Americans. If the Senate amends the bill to properly address the privacy of victims and other Americans who are named but not criminally implicated, then I will vote for that bill when it returns to the House of Representatives ," he said in a post on "X."

What happens after the vote in the House of Representatives?

The bill still needs to pass the Senate, where Republicans hold 53 of the 100 seats. But Senate Majority Leader John Thune, a Republican, could choose not to hold a vote. If the bill passes the Senate, it must be signed by the president.

Donald Trump said yesterday that he would sign the bill and give the American people "everything" he had in store for Epstein, a remarkable reversal of fortune for the bill since it reached the necessary signatures last Wednesday.

In the last two weeks, the Epstein case, with several messages mentioning President Trump's name in the spotlight, has created a huge uproar in the US, with Democrats taking advantage of the opportunity to add fuel to the fire. After many refusals from the White House to release the files, Trump changed his mind and decided to accept the Democrats' initiative to release the full file. The full release of Epstein's files will put an end to the numerous theories and allusions about the people involved with him once and for all./ Pamphlet
