Israel has confirmed that Hamas has released 11 hostages.
According to information, the 11 people, who are already "on their way" with the Red Cross to the border, are said to consist of nine children and two mothers, who have been held captive in Gaza for 51 days.
They will be exchanged for 33 Palestinians, also women and children, according to Hamas and Qatar's foreign ministry.
The latter has shared some details regarding the nationality of some of the released persons.
All those who have been released are residents of Kibbutz Nir Oz.
There are also some Egyptian reports suggesting that six more Thai hostages will be released in addition to the 11 mentioned above, but this is currently unconfirmed.
