New details have emerged about the macabre murder of a mother in Greece by her son.
A Greek court has given the 18-year-old who killed his mother in Trikala until Friday to apologize. He is charged with intentional murder. The incident occurred yesterday, as the suspect called the police and later confessed to having strangled her with a bath towel.
The young man did not give specific motives, but according to him the reason was that his mother, divorced from his father, did not pay attention to him and also had many partners.
Police found the 54-year-old dead on the couch and the 18-year-old turned himself in. Greek media also revealed photos of the victim.
The 54-year-old lived alone after the divorce, and the teenager and his younger sister would visit her from time to time.
The 54-year-old had been arguing with her son constantly. However, yesterday, without anything happening between them and while they were watching TV together, the 18-year-old got up, went to the bathroom and got a towel, returned to the living room and with complete calmness, wrapped the towel around his mother's neck and strangled her.
Then, completely calm and cool, he called the police, confessing his act, and waited for the police at his murdered mother's house to arrest him.
