Russian President Vladimir Putin has been asked for the first time about the discussion on the US-brokered peace plan.
"A number of questions were raised for discussion," Putin said from Kyrgyzstan, who is on a three-day official visit.
He said that Russia is ready for "serious" talks, adding that a US delegation will visit Moscow next week.
According to him, Russia agrees that US President Donald Trump's plan should be used as the basis for future agreements, but adds that European security should be discussed.
President Putin stressed that Russia acknowledges that the US is taking its position into account, but insists that some aspects need to be discussed.
Putin went on to say that Russia "has no aggressive plans towards Europe," calling such an idea "ridiculous."
