At least one person has been killed and three injured in a "massive" drone attack overnight in Moscow and the capital region, local officials say.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin says 73 drones heading towards the city were shot down.
Following the attack, train transport has been suspended, while restrictions have been imposed on flights from Moscow airport.
The attack comes just hours before a meeting between representatives from the US and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia, focused on ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.
In a social media post, Governor Vorobyev published photos purportedly showing one of the damaged apartments and burned-out vehicles in what appeared to be a car park in the Moscow region.
He said 12 people, including three children, had to be evacuated from their damaged homes.
The Russian Defense Ministry later reported that a total of 337 Ukrainian drones were either captured or destroyed overnight in Moscow and nine other Russian regions.
Ukraine has not commented on the matter. Overnight, Ukrainian officials reported Russian drone strikes on the capital Kiev and several other regions. It is not known if there were any casualties.
