US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has been informed by one of his Israeli counterparts that the water supply to southern Gaza has been restored.
Even Israeli officials have affirmed this development, which is thought to have come after a very high American pressure on the Israeli side, to supply at least southern Gaza with drinking water.
After Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, Israeli officials decided to cut off all water, food and medical supplies to all of Gaza, despite the fact that over 2 million civilians live there.
All of this, coupled with an unprecedented military action by Israel in Gaza, through unstoppable bombing until today, which has killed over 2,300 Palestinians.
The Israeli side has often been called upon by internationals to respect human rights and not complete a complete siege of Gaza, but to leave space for civilians to pass through safe corridors.
Thousands of people are thought to have been displaced from northern Gaza, where fierce fighting is expected, with an Israeli incursion announced, aimed at finally wiping out Hamas.
