According to reports from the Greek media, police investigations have established that the perpetrators had well studied the movements and program of the 59-year-old businessman, in order to find the right opportunity and hit him.

After realizing the presence of the businessman, they executed him and then set fire to his vehicle to destroy the evidence, and disappeared in just 30 seconds.
Then they escaped through the mountains, a sign that they had prepared methodically, making a complete map of the area, while the fact that they managed to quickly leave the place of execution and disappear in the forest on a motorcycle, shows the experience of the driver and good knowledge of the area, went to Protothema.
Meanwhile, his lawyer has stated that the murder was rude and that the perpetrators took a lot of risk, since the businessman's apartment where his bodyguards were located was near the place where the crime was committed.
"The killers played very lucky because in a few seconds one or two guards would be at the scene after being at home for 24 hours while the other two, including Christos Gialia's security team, were at the factory," the lawyer said.
Among other things, he stated that those who did this knew that there were no cameras at the place of the murder and that there is no information if Christos Gialia had anyone who might have had a dispute.
At the same time, he denied any involvement of the businessman in the murder of his ex-wife, saying that "his three children, among them a 22-year-old daughter, owner of a company and his eldest son, who is deputy the mayor of Mandra, they would not agree to be together with her mother's killer".
