The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, during an interview with the American journalist Tucker Carlson, has confessed a secret conversation held with the former President of the USA, Bill Clinton.
Putin stated that at that time he had proposed to the former American president Bill Clinton that Russia join the military alliance NATO, an idea which Clinton somehow accepted according to him.
But then Putin confesses, in a conversation later in the evening, Clinton told him that something like this was not possible!
" I told President Clinton when he was in Moscow, if Russia asked to join NATO, would you accept it? Clinton told me, 'I don't know, maybe,' then we talked again in the evening and he said, 'I talked to my team and the answer is no ,'" Putin declared.
Also, during this interview, he justified the invasion of Ukrainian territory by giving "history lectures" and justifying the military actions in Kiev. Western countries have imposed numerous sanctions on Russia.
