The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense has reacted after the drone incident that hit an energy facility in Abu Dhabi.
According to authorities, three drones were launched towards the territory of the Emirates from the western border. Two of them were neutralized by defense systems, while one drone managed to hit a power plant in the Al Dhafra area.
The ministry announced that investigations are still ongoing to identify the source and those responsible for the attack.
The official statement emphasizes that the defense forces are on high alert and are prepared to respond to any threat that threatens the security and stability of the state.
The authorities added that they will resolutely oppose any attempt aimed at destabilizing the Emirates and harming national interests.
"Investigations are ongoing to determine the source of the attacks. The Ministry of Defense affirms that it is on high alert to confront any threat and to resolutely oppose all attempts to undermine the security of the state, thus protecting its sovereignty, security and stability, as well as its national interests and capabilities," the Ministry's response states.
