Erdogan threatens Iran: Turkey is taking strict measures against airspace
President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that his country continues to take strong measures against airspace violations, while emphasizing the importance of strengthening national security.

In a video message on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Erdogan said that Turkey acts with caution and responsibility towards its citizens, taking a firm stance against any action that violates the country's airspace.

"Aware that we bear the responsibility of 86 million people, we never abandon caution and prudence. While we maintain a very firm stance against actions that violate our airspace, we also continue to take steps to strengthen the peace and security of our nation," Erdogan said.

He also conveyed Eid greetings, hoping that this holiday will bring goodness and blessings to Turkey, the Islamic world and all humanity, while also touching on the situation in the Middle East.

"Our brothers and sisters in Gaza are trying to celebrate Eid al-Fitr under Israeli attacks, which violate the ceasefire rules and block humanitarian aid. In various parts of Palestine, especially in East Jerusalem and the West Bank as well as in southern Lebanon, the policies of occupation and destruction continue with full intensity," he said.

According to the Turkish president, the escalation of tensions has also been influenced by developments between Iran and other countries, including attacks and counterattacks with missiles and drones.

"Faced with this worrying picture, with the awareness that we bear the responsibility of 86 million people, we never abandon caution and prudence," Erdogan said, adding that Turkey continues to take strong measures against airspace violations and to strengthen national security.

Speaking about domestic developments, he mentioned the "Turkey without Terror" initiative, emphasizing that several important stages have been overcome, while the situation in northern Syria, according to him, has been stabilized through reconciliation and the preservation of territorial integrity.

"With the resolution of the issue in northern Syria through reconciliation, our security concerns have been eased and the territorial integrity of Syria has been preserved.

"Our goal is to bring this useful process we have begun to a safe conclusion, taking into account the bloody scenarios that are being staged in our region," the Turkish president emphasized.

Finally, Erdogan also highlighted the country's economic performance, stating that Turkey recorded a growth of 3.6% last year, ranking among the fastest growing countries in the OECD for 2025.
