An Iranian parliament representative, Somayeh Rafiei, has stated that lawmakers are considering imposing tariffs on countries that use the Strait of Hormuz for energy transport and trade.
Speaking in Tehran, she emphasized that Iran has a key role in ensuring security in this strategic corridor and in protecting national interests.
Rafiei stated that Iran's opponents are not accepting the new reality and warned that passage through Hormuz will remain challenging for them in the future. She added that the current conflict, in her opinion, will end with Iran's victory.
At the same time, Iranian authorities have warned of further escalation if attacks on their energy infrastructure continue.
A military spokesman stated that each new strike would be followed by continued attacks on the energy facilities of their adversaries and allies in the region.
"The attacks will not stop until complete destruction ," he said, warning that Iran's response would be harsher than before.
These developments come after Iran launched attacks on oil and gas infrastructure in the Gulf region in response to Israeli strikes on the South Pars gas fields.
