Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticized Western leaders for their "silence" on the war in Gaza, accusing them of being complicit in Israel's "barbarism".
"Heads of European states and governments, you have become complicit in the vampirism of Israel because of your silence," he said, adding that the US's hands are particularly "stained with blood."
Erdogan, in comments to Turkish lawmakers, also addressed the UN, asking what good is the group if it can't even stop "genocide" in the 21st century.
"The UN cannot even protect its own staff. What are you waiting for to act? The spirit of the United Nations has died in Gaza," Erdogan said.
Erdogan has been one of Israel's most vocal critics during the war, calling it a "terrorist state" and imposing restrictions on trade with the country.
