Russia says Israeli attacks in Syria are a "matter of serious concern".
Moscow's foreign ministry said the attacks violated a 1974 treaty between Israel and Syria that ended the Yom Kippur war.
The Israeli military said a wave of its airstrikes had destroyed most of Syria's "strategic weapons stockpiles" over the past 48 hours.
Israel has also sent troops to a buffer zone on its border with Syria, which Defense Minister Israel Katz said was intended to establish a "sterile defense zone" in southern Syria.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said such actions "are unlikely to help stabilize the situation in an already destabilized Syria."
