Survived shipwreck, 11-year-old girl found alone on boat near Lampedusa

A little girl was found alone near Lampedusa, Italy in a boat after being rescued by an NGO.

Originally from Sierra Leone, the 11-year-old was on a boat that left Tunisia on December 8.

As Italian media reports, the girl is the only one who survived the sinking of a metal ship three days ago. According to the little girl's story, the ship with 45 people on board sank due to a storm.

She was pulled out of the sea by an NGO sailing vessel, which was in the area for another intervention.
