Social platform Facebook has faced a widespread service outage this Sunday, leaving thousands of users around the world unable to access their accounts.
Reports began to pile up throughout the day, as users from various countries said they could not log in to Facebook, that their accounts appeared as inaccessible, or that the site was not loading content normally.
In many cases, the message appeared: " Your account is currently unavailable due to a problem with the site. We expect this to be resolved soon ."
Even platforms that monitor the functioning of online services recorded an immediate increase in reports of problems with Facebook and the identification service (Facebook Login), suggesting that this is a widespread incident.
So far, Meta has not published an official statement on the cause of the outage and has not given a deadline for when the service will be fully restored.
The cause of the problem remains unclear, while users continue to report difficulties logging in and using the platform.
