Prime Minister Edi Rama announced today that the action to demolish illegally constructed buildings in the municipality of Durrës has also been extended to the Cape Rodoni area.
The Prime Minister has published footage from the action and says that he will not stop until the last building, while accusing the State Police of turning a blind eye.
"The demolition of illegal buildings, which has begun everywhere, is not an action, but a process that not only will not stop until this phenomenon is eliminated, but will also be accompanied in the coming days by a new package of measures to reduce this phenomenon, increasing the striking force of the law on the culprits and responsible persons at various levels, including the "intimidators" in the inspectorates, the police, and so on. These images are from the operation launched today in Cape Rodonit, Durrës Municipality, where another miracle of nature has been abused for profit from illegal construction," he writes.
