Around 400 migrants arrived in Britain on Friday as people-smuggling networks took advantage of more favourable weather conditions to resume crossings across the English Channel.
According to British authorities, 394 migrants arrived in six small boats, making the first successful crossings after nearly two weeks of disruption caused by adverse weather.
Footage released by the media shows small children carried on their parents' shoulders as migrants entered the water in the Dunkirk area to board boats that would depart for the British coast.
Other photos also show older children wading through the water and trying to reach inflatable boats, as some of them were unable to board immediately.
Off the coast of Kent, migrants were seen disembarking from British Border Security Command boats, equipped with life jackets.
