US President Donald Trump said a recent review of government records on unidentified flying objects (UFOs) has uncovered material he described as "very interesting." Trump announced that the release of the documents will begin soon.
During an event organized by the conservative organization Turning Point USA in Phoenix, Arizona, Trump addressed supporters, emphasizing that public opinion will have the opportunity to judge these phenomena for itself.
"We found a lot of documents, very interesting, I must say, and the first releases will begin very, very soon, so that you can see for yourself whether these phenomena are real," Trump told supporters during an event organized by the conservative organization Turning Point USA in Phoenix, Arizona.
This development comes after, in February, Trump ordered federal agencies to begin the process of declassifying and publishing data related to UFOs and the possibility of extraterrestrial life, arguing that there is a high public interest in the matter.
According to previous statements, the decision for this process was also influenced by public debates on information transparency, including comments by former President Barack Obama, who had mentioned in a podcast the existence of unexplained phenomena.
