A British superyacht worth £80 million, docked on the French Riviera in Saint Tropez, was engulfed in flames on Thursday.
The fire engulfed the Sea Lady II, a 41-meter-long yacht that can accommodate about 10 people and can be rented for 65,000 euros per week.
Footage shared on social media shows plumes of smoke billowing from the yacht as firefighters try to arrive as quickly as possible.
"Smoke was reported shortly after 8pm. The front of the yacht burst into flames which then spread to the bottom," a fire service spokesman said.
Two people believed to be crew members, aged 24 and 35, were rescued. Both were suffering from smoke inhalation but had no other injuries.
Emergency services moved other yachts around and installed anti-pollution barriers to limit the environmental impact.
According to officials, the Sea Lady II was likely to sink. Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
