Officials and law enforcement in Miami, Florida, are preparing for former President Trump to be in town for his court appearance on Tuesday without incident.
Mayor Francis Suarez said he believes in the Constitution and people's right to express themselves, but added that unrest will not be allowed.
He said at a news conference that the city will have law enforcement officers ready to provide security. The police chief may also decide to close some roads later in the day, Suarez added.
The mayor said the city is working with law enforcement at all levels and will be prepared to handle any crowd measures. He also called on the demonstrators to remain peaceful.
" I think it's safe to say that we're working with partners -- our law enforcement partners at all levels to make sure that we're communicating, to make sure that we're prepared, to make sure that we're sharing information and ultimately to ensure that tomorrow goes without a hitch ," Suarez said.
