His typical arrogance is further enhanced by his deteriorating physical and mental condition. Biden behaves like an imperial ruler who does not give up on blunders. He sends mixed signals, flirts with autocrats, attacks allies mercilessly, micro-manages complex conflicts from a distance and from the position of the uninitiated.
Thus, it inevitably angers both sides of an argument. Under his leadership, the world's supreme economic, technological and military power exhibits weakness, self-doubt and moral uncertainty. In principle, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin should not have much reason to celebrate today.
But this week they held a triumphalist summit, emboldened by Biden's apathy toward anti-Western forces at home and abroad, and his strategic and tactical mistakes. The China-Russia-Iran-North Korea axis is in full swing again.
America's reputation in the developing world is at its lowest point since the 1970s: outside the West, strength, stability and determination matter, and no one respects the cowardly and the wavering. Biden has twice distanced himself from Britain over Brexit, siding with the EU and Ireland, and showing disdain for the "special relationship" between our two countries.
He helped restore the Stone Age Taliban regime in Afghanistan. His failed withdrawal from there encouraged Putin to invade Ukraine. The same was caused by Biden's ridiculous claim that "a small incursion" by the Russians might not trigger a strong US response.
Then he gave the heroic Ukrainians enough help to defend themselves, but not to win. Many Republicans acted in an equally despicable manner. But now the problem is inter-party: there is no possibility that even a re-elected Biden will finance Ukraine with 60 billion dollars a year in a long war.
Kiev has already been betrayed. The latest package was perhaps Biden's last major intervention: after giving Volodymyr Zelensky false hope, he will finally agree to a negotiated settlement that will hand victory to his axis. evil.
Biden's betrayal of Israel has been even more scandalous. He has simultaneously aided it in an unprecedented way, through direct arms assistance, while obstructing it by aiming to control it, and ultimately sabotaged its war against Hamas.
