The National Council of Resistance of Iran has declared an interim government. The news was announced by Maryam Rajavi on social media.
She writes that the interim government aims to transfer sovereignty to the people of Iran for the creation of a Democratic Republic.
“The proclamation of a Provisional Government by the National Council of Resistance of Iran to transfer sovereignty to the people of Iran and establish a Democratic Republic based on the Ten-Point Plan of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi,” the announcement said.
The reaction comes hours after Israel and the US launched an air campaign against several targets in Iran. The latter responded by launching missiles at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, as well as several Gulf Arab countries where US bases are installed.
