Ukrainian attack in Russia, scary footage emerges when the drone crashes into a

Ukraine carried out a drone attack on a high-rise building in the Russian city of Saratov on Monday morning, as a "response" to massive Russian bombings in several regions of Ukraine, which resulted in the death of three people and damage to energy facilities.

Videos circulating on the Internet show the moment when the drone "crashes" into the building in the Russian city. In fact, according to the information provided by the city administration, two apartments were destroyed in the 40-story building and four people were injured, one of whom, an unidentified woman, is in the hospital in critical condition.

Three killed and five injured in mass Russian attack in Ukraine

At least three people were killed in Ukraine in airstrikes launched by Russia today, local officials said, with Volodymyr Zelensky and his associates seeking permission from allies for large-scale strikes inside Russian territory.

Losses were reported in Lutsk, in the northwest of Ukraine, Dnipro, in the east, and Zaporizhia, in the southern part of the country.

According to AFP journalists, local officials reported airstrikes in several regions of the country, while at least 7 explosions were heard this morning over the capital Kiev.

The governorates of Odesa and Zaporizhia, in the south, as well as that of Kharkiv, in northeastern Ukraine, reported explosions and urged residents to evacuate to safety.

Earlier, five people were injured in an attack on an industrial facility in the central Poltava region, according to regional governor Filip Pronin.

Explosions and power and water outages in Kiev

At least 7 explosions were heard this morning in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, according to AFP journalists, while the whole country is on alert for Russian airstrikes. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on Telegram that there are power and water outages in parts of Kyiv following a major airstrike launched today by Russian forces in the Ukrainian capital and hitting the district's Hydropower Plant. Ukraine's largest private energy company, DTEK, announced that it had initiated emergency shutdowns following the attacks.

The hydro plant was the target of the Russian attack in Kiev, the government says

An official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said that today's Russian attack was aimed at a hydroelectric plant in the Kiev region.

"Today's Russian attack targeted Ukraine's political infrastructure, including Kyiv's Public Security Service," Andriy Sibikha said on Twitter.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky requested the help of the air forces of European neighbors to help Kiev destroy the waves of Russian missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), which hit his country again today en masse.

"In different regions of Ukraine we could do much more to protect lives if the air forces of our European neighbors would cooperate with the F-16 and our air defense," the Ukrainian president noted in a Telegram post, looking for a "solution".

"If this unity worked so well in the Middle East, it should work in Europe," he added, apparently referring to the help Israel's Western allies have offered to repel recent airstrikes.

"America, Britain, France and other partners have the power to help us stop this terror. We need solutions", he emphasized. According to the Ukrainian president, Russia used more than 100 missiles and about 100 drones in today's attack on Ukraine.

"A lot of damage to the energy sector," the Ukrainian president said in his Telegram post and underlined that "it was one of the biggest combined strikes. Over a hundred missiles of various types and about a hundred Shahed drones. And as with most previous Russian attacks, this one was just as insidious, targeting critical civilian infrastructure."
