Iran: Strait of Hormuz is closed, any ship entering will be destroyed

Israel's recent attacks on Lebanon have seriously questioned the ceasefire reached between the United States and Iran, creating an unstable situation that risks spiraling out of control.

The Israeli offensive, which has spread to several areas of Lebanon including Beirut, has come at a time when the ceasefire agreement was expected to reduce tensions and pave the way for diplomacy. Instead, developments on the ground have shown a different reality, with military actions directly undermining confidence in the agreement.

In this climate of escalation, Iran's response has been immediate and harsh. After temporarily blocking the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian authorities have warned that any ship attempting to pass through this strategic corridor without permission "will be targeted and destroyed."

According to BBC reports, the message was transmitted via international navigation channels and attributed to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The warning aims to establish complete control over one of the most important routes for global energy trade, significantly increasing international concern.

This stance by Tehran is interpreted as a direct response to developments in Lebanon. Although an internationally brokered ceasefire had been reached, Israel's actions on Lebanese territory have created new tensions and triggered a chain reaction.

The contrast between diplomatic commitments and the reality on the ground is becoming increasingly apparent. While there is talk of negotiations and de-escalation, current developments point to an escalation that involves not only Lebanon, but also strategic energy routes and international maritime security.

In this context, Lebanon has become the point where the ceasefire is truly tested, while Iran's reaction in Hormuz signals that any deviation from the agreement could have immediate and wider consequences for the entire region.
