US President Donald Trump has raised concerns that some people are trying to interfere in negotiations between the United States and Iran. In a post on the “TruthSocial” platform, Trump said that some fraudsters and charlatans are distributing fake lists and letters that have absolutely nothing to do with the US/Iran negotiations.
Trump added that there is only a set of meaningful 'Points' that are acceptable to the United States, and that they will discuss them behind closed doors.
The president also attacked 'CNN', which he said last night, according to him, published some fake news, from a 'source' that had no power or authority to speak about the situation.
“Numerous agreements, lists and letters are being sent by people who have absolutely nothing to do with the US/Iran negotiations, in many cases, they are complete frauds, charlatans and WORSE. They will be exposed soon after our Federal Investigation is complete. There is only one set of meaningful “POINTS” that are acceptable to the United States, and we will discuss them behind closed doors during these negotiations. These are the POINTS that are the basis upon which we agreed to a Ceasefire. It is something reasonable and can be easily removed. It is very similar to the fake news on CNN last night, headlined by a “source” who had no power or authority to write a Letter claiming great authority ,” Trump wrote in his post.
Trump's reaction comes at a delicate time when the ceasefire with Iran appears fragile. Trump is trying to eliminate any misunderstandings to avoid a resumption of attacks.
